Choosing the right area to stay in Bali has a great influence on the type of experience you have on this amazing Indonesian Island. Many want to avoid the party atmosphere down on the beach but at the same time don’t want to be too isolated from the action or indeed the ease of being so close to the main amenities. Staying over in GrandMas in Senminyak is the perfect compromise. Just a short walk to the beach, restaurants and bars, but yet tucked away in at tranquil area of the town!

Book Your Accommodation
Booking.com
Over the course of the last 10+ years of travelling, we’ve used Booking.com to book probably around 90% of our accommodation. These days you can book anything from a luxury resort to budget hotels and even hostels and rentals similar to Airbnb.
Plus, if you make an account, you get access to their ‘Genius’ loyalty program… and DISCOUNTS. Everything is laid out super easy so you know what you’re getting, and honestly, I’m just a really big fan of the platform over other major providers.
The perfect location to explore Bali
Down here in Seminyak you are in the perfect location to make the most out of this wonderful place to visit. Here you can easily relax at the many close by beaches and even wander down as far as Kuta if you want more of the famous Bali action. However you are also far enough away from the crowds to enjoy a peaceful trip over on this part of the island.

Down here you will find it easy to organise transport, tours, trips and adventures to any part of the island whether you are doing it yourself, through a tour operator or through the hostel itself. The great thing about the connections here in Seminyak is how easy it is to make the most of your time in Bali, whatever side to the island you want to experience.
Amazing comfort and facilities
GrandMas has a wealth of amazing features which make it both comfortable, practical and fun! Having a pool means you can spend sometime relaxing and taking in the Bali rays either before or after you start your adventure on this beautiful island… or even all day! And if relaxation is the aim of your trip then you don’t even need to leave the hotel to take advantage of the wonderful spa on the top floor of the building. Let the professionals take care of you with one of their reasonably priced packages that really do leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!

Another thing we loved about the hotel was the connected bar and restaurant, this means that you can always be sure of a top quality meal right on your doorstep and a great atmosphere in the evenings.

A different gourmet food selection every morning
A real stand out for this hotel has to be the food! As we mentioned above the hotel has its own restaurant on site with some amazingly talented chefs. Each morning you are not greeted with the same old menu or a boring buffet selection. Instead there is a specially prepared menu with three selections which change each day. This means you can really try some wonderful gourmet selections each day, and for us, being vegetarian, that was no issue. They happily tailored the dished to take away the meat and add in an extra helping of something else. The food here really was something to make you leap out of bed for, and the service second to none!

Real flexibility and willingness to help
Another stand out feature of the hotel were the staff and their flexibility. As a guest you really appreciate members of staff who go out of their way to make you feel as comfortable as possible and make your stay as wonderful as it could be. Often hotels suffer due to a lack of forward thinking, but GrandMas has that covered. One such example is their use of a comfort room after check out. This means that if you have a late flight you can head out for the day, storing your luggage before you do, then return and use one of these rooms to change, have a shower and a little lie down before the taxi they organised for you arrives.

Yo, I’m Nic (they/them), one-half of The Roaming Renegades.
I’m an adventure (and halloumi) obsessed traveller with a passion for hiking mountains, exploring cities, watching Arsenal win, moshing out to Rammstein in random European fields and getting hopelessly lost on a motorbike somewhere in Asia! I am also a proud member of the LGBT+ community.
I’ve explored 80 countries, lived in Australia and New Zealand, and spent months wandering Southeast Asia, South America and Eastern Europe, all while trying to avoid growing up!
Did it work? I dunno, but my back hurts, and I still collect Pokémon cards! Who wants in?!
