Biography – Travelling Buzz
Where are you from and can you give us a little background to your blog?
I’m from Bulgaria, a small and charming country in south-eastern Europe, famous with its cheap prices and rich nature. I blog at www.TravellingBuzz.com about travel in Europe, part time and budget travel tips, and mostly about my home country Bulgaria which is worth visiting.
How long have you been travelling for and where did your journey begin?
I’ve been taking short trips every now and then. This began in 2013 with my very first trip abroad – in Sicily. Since then I am always trying to find a way to travel abroad in my free time and its working. Last year many of my dreams came true and the most memorable ones – travelling to Paris and London. Since these trips I try to convince people it is possible to travel anywhere they want even if they think they don’t have “enough time, money or will”. There are always ways to maximize your time and minimize your outgoings.
Firstly, why do you travel and what inspired it to become a lifestyle?
I love to see the places from the postcards I grew up with. I got tired of listening to people’s stories about the beautiful places they’ve been to so I made my choice and started dreaming, living and working for my travels. Whenever I have more than 3-4 free days I book a flight and go somewhere new.
What is the most important lesson you have learnt from travelling?
Oh, wow. I like to think I’m still learning. But the most important lesson I’ve learnt thus far is that everything is possible. 2 years ago I was wondering if I would ever, in my life, be able to travel abroad. Now, after so many adventures and trips in my home country and abroad, I’m convinced that nothing is impossible.
Many people feel long term travel or even travel in general often is expensive or unattainable, how do you finance your travels?
I finance my trips by saving money every month. I now know I don’t need much and when you dive into this world, you know where to get the best deals. So even 50 Euros a month will make it work and you’ll be able to travel every 2 or 3 months.
When you travel do you plan ahead or do you just see where it takes you? How does that affect your overall experience and budget?
If you would advise people to travel anywhere, where would it be and why?
And… where in the world do you most dream of visiting yourself?
What would your best piece of advice be to other travellers and would be travellers out there?
Don’t think about it too much. Money come and go but every trip is one in a lifetime experience. So start travelling now!
What is your favourite memory whist travelling?
What is your life motto, what inspires you to continue to travel and do you feel you will ever stop?
I’ll quote my favourite one: It’s better to see something once than to hear about it a thousand times.
